  • What is Cavitation?

Ultrasound Cavitation can be an effective way to lose fat and contour problem areas (such as stomach, inner and outer thighs, buttocks and the back of the legs).. The treatment helps you to eliminate fat cells from the body safely and without harming any other cell in your body. This treatment is perfect for anyone wanting to reduce larger areas of fat and contour their body. Most clients will see a reduction after their first session, with optimum results after eight sessions.

  • How does it work?

Cavitation uses an ultrasound wave to rupture the cell membrane of the fat cell without harming any other cell in your body.  The ultrasound wave creates a vibration within the fat layer quickly breaking it down into liquid which the body eliminates as waste.

  • What happens during treatment?

Before any treatment you will have a consultation with your PPP doctor to discuss any aesthetic goals or ask any questions you may have. After a treatment plan is agreed, we will begin to target the selected areas.  Your PPP doctor will place the ultrasound cavitation device on the nominated area safely eliminating the unwanted fat cells.  A treatment plan is typically 6-8 sessions at weekly intervals.

After the treatment you’re able to resume your normal daily activities with no required downtime.

  • How long will it take?

The treatment will take less than 40 minutes based on the size of the area. The course is 6-8 sessions at weekly intervals.

  • Is this treatment permanent?

Yes! Once the fat cells are removed from the body they are gone forever, and as our body contains a fixed number of fat cells they will not reproduce. However excessive calories intake could lead to remaining fat cells to increase in size.

  • Is this treatment safe?

This treatment has been fully certified and approved in UK and Europe.

  • Are there any side effects?

There may be some redness after the treatment on the cavitated area, however these symptoms will resolve themselves within a couple of hours.

  • What is the aftercare?
    • Keep treated skin away from any excess heat and no hair removal for 48 hours.
    • Avoid using ‘active’ products for 2-3 days before and after the treatment.
    • Drink 1.5 -2 litres of water per day.
    • For your own comfort, do not consume a large meal immediately before your procedure, or directly afterwards.
    • We recommend avoiding alcohol and caffeine on the day of your treatment.
  • What are cautions and contraindications?

Cavitation is unsuitable for pregnant and breast-feeding women. Your PPP doctor will discuss further medical contraindications during your face-to-face consultation.
